Rodriguez said it best...

Not knowing how to cook, well it's like not knowing how to fuck, and I do hope you all know how to do that. You've been getting fucked your whole lives if you live in the US. But tonight is not about that! No! It's about cooking, and since I regularly make this dish, and am currently in the process of doing so, I thought I'd share it with you.

Tonight's feast is homemade enchiladas with a mole sauce. (I'll update the pictures later as I'm currently taking them)...

So we'll start with the filling. I use shredded chicken or ground beef, but since shredded chicken is what you're going to see when I'm finished, we'll go from there. So you'll need to grab a medium sauce pan, a non stick skillet or griddle, a large boiling pot, and a 13x9 casserole dish (or larger if you decide to expand this recipe).  So here it is kids, have fun, and I'll post more in depth instructions later....

The Filling:
2 boneless skinless chicken breast

Bring 3 cups water to a boil. Add one tablet beef or chicken bouillon. I use beef as it's much richer and works better for the sauce. Boil the thawed chicken breasts in the broth for 8 minutes or until done. Remove from heat, and place chicken in a separate bowl. Cool briefly, then shred and set aside.

The sauce:
3 tbsp Chili powder

3 tbsp Flour

2 tsp Oregano

1 tsp Garlic

1 tsp Onion Powder

1 tsp Salt

½ tsp Cinnamon

2 tbsp Peanut butter (or 1 tsp Cocoa Powder)

1 (8oz) Can tomato paste

3 cups water (or broth from chicken!)

In medium saucepan mix together dry ingredients. Slowly add the broth to the mixture until mixed completely. Should turn a brownish color. Then add the can of tomato paste, and peanut butter or cocoa powder. Stir frequently, simmer for about 10 minutes. Sauce should be thick and red.

The Tortillas:

So for this I’ll need to link you to Robert Rodriguez’s 10 minute cooking school for Sin City Tacos. He’s got the best recipe for homemade flour tortillas I’ve ever tried. So here it is… (and for those of you to lazy I’ll sum up what I can…)

2 cups Flour

½ tsp salt

½ tsp Baking Powder (not soda!!!)

¼ cup butter or lard ( I liked the butter version)

Now that you have the ingredients, just watch him roll it out and you should get the hang of it…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBgsLmDcL78

Last but not least, putting it all together….

So if you don’t know how to roll enchiladas, then I feel sorry for you, but not to fear you’ll learn. You’ll take your chicken or beef, some cheese and roll your tortilla. That’s it!!! But to start, place enough sauce in the bottom of your casserole dish to cover the bottom, then place your rolled enchiladas into the pan with the flap on the bottom. Cover with cheese, peppers, or whatever you like, then cover with sauce until all toppings and tortillas are covered by a nice amount. Place a last sprinkling of cheese on top and place in the oven on bake for 45 minutes @ 375. My oven runs hot, so that’s my cooking time. The last apartment I had took an hour on 375, but the cheese should be melted and everything is cooked so you can really eat them at any point.

I hope you all enjoy this recipe as I have and maybe I’ll throw another one up at another time.

QotD: Thanks to Technology…

What are things you can do today because of technology that you couldn't do five years ago?
Presented by Intel, Sponsors of Tomorrow.

Everything!!! Finally a question worth pondering. In the past 5 years we've made enough advances that we're able to now post anything to anywhere at any given moment, so information becomes public faster than it ever has. There's no need for large media sources to take care of the news when we have people everywhere seeing the world as it is and postings about it everywhere and anywhere for the world to see. I mean I have the power of my laptop with me at all times with my new Nokia 5800 and am able to surf the web, buy products, view news sources, find locations, hell find where I am if necessary, and share everything I see via video to the world. I can drive hundreds of miles on a single gallon of gas, or hell I can see particle accelerators at work just by searching. The new technology is wonderful and we're all one step short of Batman with the powers this tech has brought. Too bad 90% of you dickless fucks out there use this power to play fart noises with your Playschool iPhone but that's the lower class idiotic majority. People who think that spending more for far less technology is the way to go. At least we know Darwinism is alive and well, just in a very weird way.

QotD: A Bitter Pill to Swallow?

If you could get your exercise by taking a pill, would you? Why or why not?
Presented by Intel, Sponsors of Tomorrow.

These questions are getting shallower and shallower. I mean we started these with meaningful question that have turned into marketing and sales campaigns. Well I for one like the exercise. How lazy are we as a nation that we would need a pill to supplement our efforts to better ourselves. Oh wait, Steroids anyone? Fuck this.

QotD: My Favorite Room in My House...

What's your favorite room in your house? Why?

Well there's really only one room, so I'm going to choose that. :) It's nice to be able to be anywhere in the house and be able to see what is going on on the other side. :) There's just some kind of security there. I always know what's going on, and the Mrs. did a great job decorating the place. I really enjoy the hodgepodge of comics, art, and music that surrounds me all day. INSPIRATION!!!!

Annoyed Pissyness and Agitated Rantings Part Duex

So I fucking loathe HVAC guys. I’m fed up with them. They feel they are god because they hold the power to your AC unit in a heatwave. The thing is it truly is nice out, NOW!!! But just this weekend it was 114 degrees outside! I’ve been waiting for two days now to have this shmuk come and repair the AC, but each day he bails, and the next morning I call the dueche at 8:00am and say “What the FUCK happened to you?!” I mean I can last the next week without it, but the point is I pay rent for a place with AC, in a town that is know to have people die from our heat. Not really something I want to deal with. So fuck you to all you HVAC power hungry jerk offs!!! I hope your balls freeze to your sister as you enjoy your icy cold central air since mine is fucked!!!

I’m done now. I think I want ice cream…

Where did all these religions come from...

  • Jul 17, 2009
  • Post a comment

Well I'll tell you. :)

Well actually I'm pretty ADD at the moment and don't feel like going into detail, so I'm linking you to a wonderful site filled with religious texts. Now do not misconstrue this as an attempt at conversion. I LOATHE ORGANIZED RELIGIONS!!! I'm doing this as it's a part of our history and we should all know the facts. And those are that we have become so drawn to the idea of something intangible that we will add a name, face, idol, ceremony, or ritual to them just to make others believe what we do. I mean I enjoy reading old religious text and finding the human influence put into them at some point in history. Almost all religions start as a means to calm the ignorant masses put forth by someone in power. Well who is to say that these aren't in fact real. I mean reality comes from the belief of many. We have the power to influence our reality by pulling the wool over others eyes. If you can convince enough people that there is a flesh eating demon waiting for them after death, then people will be more apt to put allot of energy into extending their life to refrain from ever encountering said demon. So go here, read some stories, as that's all they really are, and remember that these are our past in some way shape or form. Our predecessors have worships some of these and put alot of faith into following them, we should at least see where they were coming from at the time.

Educational rant out....

Are you interested in intergalactic travel? What would you hope to discover?
Presented by Intel, Sponsors of Tomorrow.

Absolutely!!! I mean if you're not, stay away from me. :) I just want out of here. If intergalactic travel is the way, so be it. I mean I'm done with our petty squabbling over this and that in the world, and I know that even with the addition of intergalactic travel we'd still be privy to them, but it allows for a few of us to escape, and try something new somewhere else without the rules, and regulations that we were forced into at birth.

QotD: Dream Vacations

  • Jul 15, 2009

What vacations would you most like to take in the next five years?
Presented by Intel, Sponsors of Tomorrow.

I've never had a real vacation. I wouldn't know where to go! I mean I would like to go to Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Germany, but more than likely it isn't going to happen. Hrmmm... Japan would also be right up there, and Ireland. Not sure why just always wanted to go. Hell anywhere but the US that's for sure. I want the fuck out of this country as soon as possible. It's like living in a nightmare that you can't wake up from. I mean you're willing to work, but there isn't anything in the world hiring, and then there's just everything else. California is going down the drain fast and we all need to abandon ship.

YAY!!!! Red Bull!!!!
